Amelie Arras, Marketing Director of Adastra Marketing, is planning on defending bitcoin’s crown in the upcoming Money20/20 Asia Payments Race. In the race, participants have to cross Asia in a payment method of their choice. Amelie Arras will be using BTC. The race is five days long and will begin in Hong Kong on the 10th of March.During the duration of this period, Mrs. Arras will transact soly in bitcoin. A Money 20/20 conference has also been scheduled in Singapore.
“My experience from the previous Payments Race showed me first hand that acceptance at a merchant level is not what I can rely on to win. Instead, I will be using bitcoin for what it was originally designed for, a peer to peer currency. Using the power and enthusiasm of the crypto community, I am determined to win the race again,” Mrs Arras stated.
Other participants in the race will be using other payment methods such as cash, card, gold, mobile payment etc. The road to glory isn’t that easy however, the participants will be expected to fulfil certain challenges which will earn then points. The participants who cross the finish line in the stipulated time period with the highest number of points will be declared the winner. One of the catches in the race is that participants can’t buy fight tickets and will have to use a variety of different methods in order to get around and across Asia.
Pat Patel, the Director of Money 20/20 said that this edition of the race will be more challenging than ever, while also stating that it will be entertaining.
