The Best Performing Cryptocurrencies Of The Year 2018

Add

Selecting a single winner among all the cryptocurrencies might appear an easy task but to others. But if the crypto market is analysed properly then the task gets a very difficult one. With all the assets which are deprecated on the board, even the best performing coins are in the red zone. To put the list more accurately, here we have the best and worst performing cryptocurrencies of the year 2018.

If we see the stats of last three months then bitcoin is down by 58 percent. And if the all-time high of bitcoin is seen, then it is down by 66 percent. Apart from bitcoin, most of the cryptocurrencies have been down even more since January but there are few which have outperformed Bitcoin. Some of them which are in green are Ontology which is up by 110 percent and is considered to be up as it was not introduced until 2018. The analysts commented that if ontology would have been introduced earlier, it would also be in red by this time.

Apart form Ontology, among all the cryptocurrencies which were trading in the starting of the year only two of the assets are in the green. Digixdao which is a gold-backed token is up by 12% in the last three months while Bytom, which is a Chinese altcoin is up by 2%. Both the coins failed to produce the sort of return which the hold strategy was applied for. In fact, the holding strategy for the year 2018 is considered to be the worst strategies which a trader would have used. For the year 2018, the most effective buy and sell strategy must be involving one of the following altcoins.

The Worst Performers of 2018

We have already seen all the best performers of the year. But we do have the worst performers as well. Have a look at the list given below:

If someone would have attempted to counteract the declination in bitcoin by switching to altcoins, he must have lost heavily. Ripple and Cordano are down by 84% in the last three months and NEM also has fallen further. So one could say that the best bet anyone is to keep the majority in bitcoin and forget about rest.
