According to International Finance News, Beijing is witnessing a media copyright protection alliance to provide copyright protection when using Blockchain technology. Over 30 significant financial media outlets are a part of this alliance, including International Finance News, Economic Information Daily, China Business News, Daily Economic News and Beijing Business Daily.
The alliance intends to provide ‘fair authorisation systems, and better working authorised transaction mechanisms, Building of industry copyright self-discipline, and developing copyright cooperation in the industry.
Qi Huisheng, Secretary of former Communist Party, stated ‘Reporters and newspapers should establish copyright awareness, solve common problems in copyright protection through technology and other means, and actively communicate with relevant technical teams to protect original copyright.’
According to IFN reports, the use of blockchain technology will be to give copyright protection for all original works. The technology will be aimed to ‘embed unique identifier DNA. Over 100 mainstream media outlets formed ‘The Global Media Blockchain Alliance’ in Hong Kong, this June. The alliance aims to facilitate quality information concerning the blockchain industry and create a public opinion environment.
Fifty-four countries joined hands together to form the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Monaco Blockchain alliance last month. The collaboration aims to develop blockchain technology with the support of each other and promote innovation.
