Coinbase – San Francisco based Crypto Exchange Introduces Digital Asset Conversions


According to an official statement made on December 17, Coinbase, an American based crypto exchange and wallet service has launched its new and awaited, ‘Convert’ service. What is Convert service? As per the official statement made, the service will enable customers to convert between BTC (Bitcoin), ETH (Ethereum), ETC (Ethereum Classic), LTC (Litecoin), ZRX and BCH (Bitcoin Cash). The firm intends to make this service available in the countries where Coinbase offers native payment options. Supposedly, 34 nations at the moment are in the list of Coinbase where this service will be made accessible. The exchange claims that ‘Convert’ is a ‘natural progression’ in the development of the platform.

12 Days of Coinbase’ is a promotional campaign offered by Coinbase in which they are putting out new offerings. ‘12 Days of Coinbase’, the title of the campaign is based on a Christmas song.  

As we reported earlier, on December 14, Coinbase introduced fiat withdrawals to payment service Paypal. The service initially will be available to customers in the US and gradually in other countries.

Previously, Coinbase and Paypal joined hands in 2016 when Coinbase added support for Paypal along with major credit cards on their platform. It also allowed customers to buy bitcoin with paypal. The intent was that customers could sell Bitcoin and get fiat funds deposited in their Paypal wallets. However, due to some technical challenges, the deal was terminated on February 2018.

Apart from introducing various new services and features on the platform, ‘12 Days of Coinbase’ campaign has taken up charitable and educational initiatives as well. According to CoinMarketCap, Coinbase exchange is the 20th largest exchange in the world with a 24-hour trade volume of $154 million.
