FIH Mobile Ltd (2038.HK), a subordinate of Foxconn, is said to produce the Finney Blockchain based smartphones sometimes in the recent future. Sirin Labs, a Swiss-Israeli firm which works on technological modifications, has recently reported of this news. Foxconn is the largest contract electronics producers, globally and FIH Mobile Ltd is a supplement of it, that has claimed to manufacture the blockchain based smartphones that offers secure storage and bitcoin transactions as a part of fee less transaction.
If all the claims and production details falls right in it’s places, Finnegan shall be the world’s first blockchain-based smartphone that is capable of converting tokens for the purpose of decentralized applications without the help of external intervention. The company has also stated that this task can be accomplished without obtaining different tokens from an exchange.
Foxconn and Sirin Labs to produce the world’s first blockchain smartphones.
Sirin has already raised $157.8 million with the help of an initial coin offering during the month of December. This fund is said to provide the financial support for the growth and economic change of the open source blockchain smartphone and also that of the personal computer based on blockchain technology.
The company is planning on selling the smartphones through the stores in Vietnam and Turkey. According to reports by Bloomberg, about eight new stores have been alloted to conduct this business and so far, 25,000 smartphones has already been ordered.
Sirin has a goal of shipping about 100,000 to a few million smartphones in 2018 and the company hopes for a great start to a successful business this year.
