The man who claimed himself to be Bitcoin’s creator, has been sued for a massive sum of money after being accused of theft and forgery.
Craig Wright previously stated that he is the real identity behind Satoshi Nakamoto and now has ended up with a lawsuit for himself. The lawsuit has been filed by Ira Kleiman, in interest of his brother Dave, former coding specialist of Bitcoin. Craig has been accused of stealing Bitcoins and other important documents by Dave’s family.who passed away in 2013.
Dave played a pivotal role in developing bitcoin and passed away in 2013.This came to the forefront when Craig proclaimed himself as the face behind Nakamoto. The claims have received skeptical views and Craig’s failure in proving himself to be Satoshi has deprived the issue of it’s vitality. Since then, Craig works for a startup called nChain and has aligned with Bitcoin Cash as well.
Craig has been accused of theft and stealing more than 1.1 million bitcoins which sums up for about $10 billion. The lawsuit has been filed in Southern District of Florida on February -14th. A previous record of Craig clearly states that he has been accused of “ a scheme against Dave’s estate to seize Dave’s bitcoins and his rights to certain intellectual property associated with the Bitcoin technology.”
According to his master plan, Craig unlawfully imitated Dave’s signature on a number of contracts that stated of Dave’s asset to get transferred to him. This has been clearly and repeatedly said by Kleiman attorneys.
Along with the 1.1million Bitcoins, family of Dave’s are also looking forward to get compensated for the intellectual property that has been stolen from Dave. “Plaintiff demands judgment against Defendant for the value of the wrongfully retained Bitcoin and IP, together with court costs, interest, and any other relief this Court deems just and proper, “ reads the complaint filed by Ira Kleiman.
Who is the real Nakamoto?
However the complaint hasn’t stated of Nakamoto identity and who the actual face is behind bitcoin, is still unclear. But the fact that both Dave and Craig were there through Bitcoins’ initial years and that they have achieved humongous amount of wealth from it, is undeniable.
