An astonishing survey published on 15th of February claimed that almost sixty four percent of German population are aware of Bitcoin. This survey was run by the German Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media and as per Bitkom reports, the knowledge of the most celebrated and popular digital currency has doubled since 2016 and quadrupled since 2013.
About four percent of the approximate 1010 respondents are owners of Bitcoin themselves. About nineteen percent possessed the idea how Bitcoin works and about seventy two percent of the people had no interest in the Crypto world at all.
The Chief Executive Officer of Bitkom, Bernhard Rohleder stated, ‘”Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are a good example of how the digital age is able to change the financial world. This is not so much about the individual currency itself as it is about the underlying blockchain technology. It will have an impact on the whole economy.”His words clearly established the idea that the significance of the digital world is an undeniable fact and the economic benefits of Bitcoin is the unseen reality.
