U.S. probe finds bitcoin mining operation interfered with broadband network

On Thursday there was one more news find about the interference in Bitcoin mining. The interference was by T-Mobile US Inc’s (TMUS.O) broadband network. The news came in the air when the Federal Communications Commission Jessica Rosenworcel said in a tweet that “letter has it all: #Bitcoin mining, computing power needed for #blockchain computation and#wireless #broadband interference. It all seems so very 2018.” Federal Commission can fine and criminal prosecution on the broadband company.

The Problem

The broadband company was complaining about interference to its 700 MHz LTE network in Brooklyn. This was from radio emissions due to Cryptocurrency mining in Brooklyn.
The Federal Communications Commission said its investigation determined that the user was “generating spurious emissions on frequencies assigned to T -mobile’s broadband networks and causing harmful interference.”
No authority from the broadband company was available for an authentic comment.
